Trying on the Aquanaut 5167r at my local AD

I have to say that this watch really speaks to me--the color and heft of this watch makes it so attractive--but is it going to get as much wear as a WG Patek? What would you do?

in RG. In the end I did not wear the watch because I felt that a sporting watch is really for leisure time wear and it's best when made of either steel or titanium. I ignored Aquanaut for a long time till I tried it in London some two months ago. Less tha...

and I have to agree with Kari. My RG FF is now restricted to weekends. I went for the purchase with an SS in mind but ended with the RG cos they made me an offer I could not refuse.... but alas ! Needless to say, if I have to do it all over again, the SS ...

For me....

I have a 5980 R and the color is so warm and amazing--truly unique. I love Parek RG so I guess I am biased. Get the one you like better and will wear more.

Biased

I don't own any colored metal and I'm not sure that sports (real sports watches) should be in precious metal. I got my Aquanaut in ss with the tropical strap, but partially broke my own rule by buying a 5712G. The 5167a gets worn more frequently than equa...

so I have a theory that they have to be in ss or titanium. I will call rolexes real sport watches or the RM that Nadal wears when he is playing tennis. I have a friend who just got a new AP ROO and wears it to play tennis thinking that he is right handed,...

a couple of years ago. I think it looks great. I'm wearing the 5167A today - it is the most comfortable watch I own. The R version has a real softness about it, and looked great on my wrist. It's sporty, but dressy too (no one is really going to care). Bu...

Love it!

I have a steel 5167 (steel) with tropical strap and agree with all the compliments above - wonderful watch! I'm not sure if I understand our Count, but I think that I agree with the conclusion - why not 5167r? In my opinion, the gold has the advantage of ...

I purchased one approximately two years ago. I was concerned about how I would use the watch...but I was drawn to the rose gold with the chocolate face. It is very functional for travel...especially to warmer, more humid climates. It dresses up but I am n...

5167r after two years

The rising temperatures and humidity where I am, provided good reasons for getting my 5167r out. After two years...the watch and the band look great. This watch does have a feel on the wrist that is unlike anything else I own....

I never really cared for the Aquanaut.

Looked at the pictures, looked at it in the case and still, didn't really do anything for me. But I thought I'd try it on anyway. I surprised myself. Never thought I'd like it but I did like it. It looks good on the wrist, comfortable. I do prefer, howeve...
