the right strap size for the Calatrava 5196G sounds like a good idea; I didn't know they can get it to your specific size though.

Which Patek would be the most comfortable to wear everyday?

 By: pjbseattle : February 4th, 2013-16:10
I've been contemplating getting my first everyday Patek; trying to decide between the Calatrava 5196G or an Aquanaut. Does anyone have the ownership experience of these two who can tell me which one is the most comfortable daily wearer? and which one you ...

It all depends on your lifestyle. If sporty, then go for the Aquanaut.

If dressay, go for the Calatrava. In terms of comfort, I would say that the Aquanaut is a bit above the Calatrava, but I had a bad experience with mine ( 5196 P ) due to a too small strap. In terms of elegance, I regret my 5196P, though. Best, Nicolas

non-brainer. I have a 5196P and 5196R. This Calatrava is a great watch to wear. However, get a strap of the right length and then the watch feels good especially with a folding clasp. If the strap length is not correct, folding clasp feels uncomfortable. ...

I have been fortunate to own both pieces.........

And I can say without hesitation that the Aquanaut was definately the most comfortable to wear.

My closest is an AC 5205 which I have previously mistaken as a Calatrava, which I believe closely resembles such. I think the Aquanaut would have the most comfortable wear. I own a 5164 which is thicker than the 5167 but it does comfortably in rubber stra...

I find 5711 to be a comfy everyday watch, haven't had any problems with the bracelet myself. The weight it nice, watch vs. bracelet ratio is very balanced. Not like in the 5980 where the the mass of the watch itself makes it a bit uncomfortable. I did not...

5110 for a WT, and 3940 for a perpetual. They are the most wearable Pateks IMO because they are super comfortable (esp with the deployant buckle) and they are not easy to get scratches because of the thinness of the case (and they are not brushed either, ...

advise one way or the other. I have never had an uncomfortable Patek. Certainly, some are thicker, larger, thinner, etc. but when fitted correctly, comfort has never been an issue for me. So, it boils down to what Nicholas said, the key factors are your l...

I have given this a bit of thought and its all down to what..

...your used to, I have worn a rolex for the past 22 years and most the time a sea dweller and its a heavy watch and i still wear it at work but when i come home I wear a nautilus and I cannot feel its there, its all down to what your used to.

Aquanaut

The Aquanaut to me is the most comfortable because of the rubber strap. You do not know you have it on. 5196G is to me a far better choice, classic PP but you need a bigger wrist for it as it appears big due to its thinness, despite its 37mm

Aquanaut .nt.

I have been wearing my 5167A for almost 3 months now, after wearing different watches, and lately (before the PP) a Panerai Luminor. Wearing the Aquanaut is like not wearing a watch at all, it is so light, so comfortable, that you actually do not feel the...

I am lucky to wear a 5066 on the bracelet and the strap. Although i prefer the appearance of this most gorgeous bracelet and its light weight, I admit that i am always astonished at the weight with the strap, as though my wrist is bare. I use it daily vs ...

5712A a fantastic pair with Aquanaut. I have a 3712 and it must be the 2nd most comfortable steel watch I have been wearing. I would say that all Patek watches I have tried are potentially very comfortable. Their watches are never overly big and always ma...

If your watch is equipped with a folding clasp, you probably want to place that to the center of your wrist. Because i.e the folding clasp of PP is bended, you need to find the place on your wrist where the clasp feels good. In my case the clasp is very c...
